Q: What is the altitude at Moose Creek Ranch?
A: 6214' above sea level

Q: What can I expect weather-wise at the Ranch?
A:
The weather varies throughout the year. Star gazing at Moose Creek Ranch is second to none because there are no city lights to interfere, but the nights can be chilly in the mountains and you will want at least a sweater, even in summer. Winters can be cold so expect to bundle up while outside. We occasionally experience summertime thunder showers so plan on packing and a rain parka. And always plan for the unpredicted in the mountains!

Q: Are horses welcome at Moose Creek Ranch?
A: Moose Creek Ranch
can accommodate your horse for overnight boarding.

Q: Can you answer my questions about the horseback riding?
A:
We can, but Dry Ridge Outfitters has a very comprehensive list that is sure to include your question. Click here to see the FAQs on the Dry Ridge website.

Q: Are you environmentally friendly?
A:
We take great care in protecting and sustaining the environment and beauty around us. One of the ways we decrease energy consumption is to cut down on the amount of washing and daily maid service. We encourage our guests to reuse their towels and daily bed linen. This also lowers costs to our guests. If you need to exchange linens earlier please let us know and we can provide them to you at an additional charge. We also have recycling bins set up and would appreciate your efforts in using them

Q: Are there dishes and eating utensils in the cabins?
A:
Each of our twin cabins is stocked with cooking and eating utensils for 4; the Ranch House is stocked for 12.

Q: Do you provide the linens & towels?
A:
Yes, all linens & towels are provided.

Q: Are there TV's and phones in the cabins?
A:
In keeping with the spirit of a true wilderness vacation, the cabins do not have televisions or telephones. Most cell phones do work on the property however. There is a wide screen TV in the Lodge.

A:
There is Wi-Fi available at the Lodge.
